“Très agréable séjour avec des hôtes d’une grande gentillesse.”
Very pleasant and spacious rooms. The hosts are very kind and attentive to small details. Excellent value for money.
We were treated like old friends, the family was very kind, and our kids played happily with theirs, sharing games and having a wonderful time. We all went together to visit the Buddhist temple, which turned into a special evening. We’ll never forget their hospitality and readiness to help. The room was spacious and clean, the bathroom had continuous hot water, breakfast was excellent, and they attended to all our requests and dietary needs. Near the accommodation there’s a local restaurant with good service and several shops. Highly recommended.
A beautiful clean stay, very spacious rooms and a good warm shower! A kettle with tea was available. The owner picked us up for free from the train station and took us to the bus stop, helping and waiting until the right bus, truly top service! It’s outside the busy tourist area of Ella, but we found it nicer, more of a quiet local setting. The bus nearby is very easy for 35 rupees per person to Ella center! The bus runs very frequently. For breakfast we chose Sri Lankan options and always got a few tasty items besides toast with jam. Every evening we ate at Baba Hotel, very tasty local food.
“Wonderful stay, great breakfast, and amazing hospitality!”
We were welcomed like family, the hosts made us feel right at home with tasty welcome juices and an amazing breakfast. Driving our own tuk‑tuk up the steep property road scared us, but the host kindly helped us navigate it. They also shared great local tips and the best route to the Nine Arch Bridge.
“The best place to stay for your visit to Ella”
The host family were the nicest and most helpful hosts we’ve met during our half‑year of traveling. The room was huge and spotless. The shower was warm and toilet paper was supplied. Breakfast was the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka. A cute cat roams around the place. We could rent a scooter through the homestay, which was very useful. With the scooter the host gave us nice recommendations that led us to a beautiful temple. Nothing worth mentioning.
