Paid for breakfast when booking, but upon arrival found out the service was available from 7am, unfortunately due to work commitments I had to leave before 7am

The bar food was excellent and the staff there were helpful, and reception handled everything smoothly. Disabled parking was spot‑on, and the hotel’s location was perfect for the city centre. Breakfast offered a solid variety of options, though the main restaurant’s menu felt limited and the pool area had only a few seats.

The canal view and easy walk to the city centre were great, but the breakfast felt a bit underwhelming – it was more budget‑style than the hotel’s usual standard. The rooms looked a bit old, especially the bathrooms.

We arrived to a cozy double room with a small en‑suite above what looked like a kitchen, and the extractor fans outside the window ran all night, making it hard to sleep because we couldn’t open the window without hearing the vent. The room was warm and the night uncomfortable, which was a let‑down since we’ve enjoyed this hotel before. On the bright side, the breakfast was very good, the staff were friendly and efficient, and the hotel overall felt nice.
