“Spacious room in quiet location.”
We started off on the wrong foot! When I booked, I explicitly asked for a room with elevator access and a walk‑in shower, and if that wasn’t possible to be notified so I could find another place. I received an email confirming that would happen. Arriving late at night, we were told we were on the 3rd floor, meaning we had to take the lift to the 3rd floor, then climb one flight of stairs up and two flights down—this was the only way to reach the remaining walk‑in shower room! I get that it’s an old building, but if I’d known I could have gone elsewhere—this is not what they wanted! The shower itself was a nightmare: the next morning it started spouting water everywhere from the middle of the pipe, squealing loudly, and was unusable. It was eventually fixed, but we were already disappointed. The facilities were generally good: a spacious room with a long couch, plenty of storage, and a well‑stocked minibar. It was quiet too. The reception staff weren’t very welcoming or friendly, just going through the motions. But a big shoutout to the very friendly and amenable gentleman who went out of his way to fix our shower in time for the second morning!
