The room was spotless and had a pleasant vibe, with the toilet and shower each behind their own doors so the wet‑dry split worked great. It was a short walk to Yancheng MRT, the Pier‑2 area and the light‑rail, and plenty of places to eat and drink were all within about a kilometre. I loved looking out the window at the bike lane and green strip, although the distant campaign billboard for Ke Zhien really annoyed me, and the night‑shift front desk staff were all very friendly. I wish the room had a brighter main light because packing was a bit awkward, and it only had a single bedside table – two would have been nicer. A smart TV or the ability to log in and cast YouTube would have been a nice upgrade, and the showerhead and its base felt loose and couldn’t be fixed at a set angle. The night‑shift desk staff also seemed pretty exhausted.

On the night of August 29 the building was noisy from about 2 am until 6 am, clearly caused by a rowdy group of guests; the front desk didn’t intervene or ask them to keep the noise down, and as soon as the noisy guests left, the cleaning crew started vacuuming at an early hour, which I found puzzling.

No breakfast was included. A few more smiles would have helped.

The location was super convenient with lots of street food nearby, the room was clean and perfect for a budget traveler, and there was a parking lot right across the street plus some street‑side spots to choose from. No complaints at all.
