The complimentary breakfast was simple but value‑for‑money, delivered straight to our room, and included coffee, juice, a pastry, eggs, cheese, cereal, and yogurt; housekeeping was minimal—just a quick bed‑make when we left for lunch, which they handled promptly; the front desk staff were friendly and efficient, check‑in and check‑out were smooth, and ice and vending were easily accessible; located right in downtown Solvang, we could stroll to everything, which felt charming even in the heat; the pool looked neat, though we never used it; hot water in the shower was a bit spotty, and the room décor could use an update, but the price point made us very happy; we only discovered on the last day that a large mini‑fridge was available, which was a great surprise for keeping wine and snacks—something you rarely see in hotels anymore.
