“Interesting location, nothing else going for it”

An interesting location with a huge room. The roll‑top bath was lovely but the hot water was barely enough for a few inches. The room was expensive for the lack of facilities.

“Väga armas ja vaikne koht.”

Breakfast wasn’t included in the price. The room had a fridge and we brought our own food. The location was nice and quiet, with a lovely garden nearby. The manor was close to Sigulda and we also visited the Sigulda castle town. Behind the manor was a hiking trail that led down into the gorge. The room had a strange odor, I don’t know where it came from.

The quiet evenings in front of the house! The national park starts right in front of the house and you can take a short walk anytime. We discovered many different paths, all of them great. For €0.90 you can take the bus to Sigulda, which was super convenient, so we could extend our hikes. The staff was helpful and friendly. The café is just a stone’s throw away, and you could have a lovely breakfast on a small terrace overlooking the castle. We were lucky to meet very nice other guests and had breakfast together in a small circle.
