3 Rivers Eco Lodge

One of the most unique places I’ve stayed at. Jem has built over decades not just a homey retreat in the forest, but also a small community. Everyone was exceptionally kind. The surroundings are beautiful, waterfalls and natural pools everywhere. Zip‑lining in and out was “forced fun” – normally you pay for this kind of thing. You’re not getting luxury, but that’s not what you’re here for. There’s decent Wi‑Fi, which is impressive given you feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere.

“Perdu dans les champs et le temps”

A lovely spot tucked away in the valley, reachable after a 10‑minute walk and two zip‑lines (avoid wheeled luggage!), surrounded by trees and rivers—I'd suggest driving to move around the area more easily. It feels like the place has suffered from losing road access after Hurricane Maria in 2017 and would benefit from a major facelift to regain its full energy.

“Had a really enjoyable and relaxing time.”

The place is great, but the kitchenette lacks cooking utensils, and some guests left beer bottles scattered around the communal area, giving a poor first impression upon arrival.
