The hostel staff were very friendly and explained all the facilities and check‑in rules in detail, and the location was convenient, close to the train station. The bathroom layout was a bit cramped, with the washbasin and toilet combined; separating them would be more convenient. The soundproofing was mediocre, but that’s typical for hostels.

The staff were excellent and courteous without being overly chatty. For a hostel, the décor, lighting and privacy were all impressive. Two areas that could use improvement: first, the pillows were too soft and offered no support, so a firmer pillow would help; second, the bathroom and toilet should be separated.

We stayed for four nights during Hualien’s annual Fengnian Festival, and the owner welcomed us warmly. The room was well equipped, the surroundings clean, and the spot was great—just a short walk from the train station—making it a highly recommended quality guesthouse.
