The room and bathroom are spacious, beautifully decorated to the latest details, and very quiet; there is a snug area with a massive bay window opening onto a balcony, and the view onto the field is fantastic, with the sound of pheasants in the morning. The food is very good and the breakfast is excellent. The welcoming was poor: no one acknowledged me when I arrived, and the manager, Stephane, was talking to a customer and then ignored me, walking away instead of asking why I was waiting. Finally, a girl stopped, and I told her I was there for check‑in. I understand they were busy with the restaurant and local customers, but at around 3 o’clock a dedicated staff member should handle check‑ins. It was a special birthday for my partner, so I asked for the best table, but we were initially placed at a very small table in a little area; only after insisting did we get a better, larger table. From then on, the service was very good.
