The host was cheerful, helpful, and responsive; when we reported a clogged drain in the bathroom sink, he immediately moved us to a different room and fixed the issue before the next guest arrived. The place was clean but dated, and its location was convenient, just a few minutes from downtown St. Stephens. The continental breakfast was minimal, the coffee was weak, and we had to ask for the kettle to be refilled before using it for instant oatmeal. One of the beds in our double‑queen room had a deep divot in the mattress on one side.
