The room was incredible, especially the bathtub. It was also great to have a good coffee shop in the building.

Very beautiful and great for walking to city‑center hotspots. The lack of parking caused a noticeable delay on arrival, and my room seemed rushed – the shower had hair that wasn’t mine and the sheets smelled used.

It was simple and perfect, had everything I needed. I wish there were a bar open later or a vending machine for beer or wine.

Location 10/10, within walking distance of all major downtown Portland sights. The hotel has old‑time charm and the staff are friendly. A few blocks away from the museum, bookstore, and restaurants. The old building offers little soundproofing.

Fantastic location, responsive staff, and a charming old historic building! I liked the door‑code system instead of a key card. I’d stay there again. I’m not a fan of the sliding bathroom door in the double full room—there’s a visible gap that offers very little privacy, so why not a real door? Also, the other room was a triple twin‑bed room with no in‑room restroom at all, something we missed entirely when booking because all that was mentioned was “shared restroom” at the very bottom. People generally expect a restroom inside a hotel room, so it’s worth making that clearer than just that phrase on the listing.
