“Booking.com took advantage of my family!”

My entire stay was ruined due to the situation that happened noted below. Please read below. severely took advantage of me and my family. I was charged $465 more website than I should have been and I am extremely disappointed. Had I booked it directly through the website I would have been charged $735 vs the $1200 charged me. I reached out to The Islander and they would not help me. I would greatly appreciate refunding me the difference (or even most of it) to make this right. I thought was there to be competitive or even save you money. Instead, they took great advantage of my family and we overpaid $465 for our stay. I would greatly appreciate you contacting me to make this right. If this isn’t made right, I will NEVER use again, nor stay at the Islander Inn. Please advise ASAP if this can be corrected

Nothing special, just an old motel. The lakefront location is nice, but in September most places are closed.

“Okay for a through stop stay”

The location was convenient for our through trip to Glacier, yet the beach access to the lake that they “sell” is the Bosch launch tied to the bar and restaurant. You have to walk through the bar to get to the beach area and there are no swimming signs posted. There are people sitting there from the bar/restaurant definitely not a place you’re going to swim or enjoy the lake unless your boat is docked there.

I am incredibly disappointed with my stay. This property was completely misrepresented online. The listing photos must be very old, as they do not reflect the current, run-down reality of the cabin. It is extremely overpriced for the low level of accommodations provided.Several major issues made our stay uncomfortable:False Advertising: The listing promised breakfast, but absolutely none was available.Zero Service: There is no on-site office and no direct access to staff or assistance if you need help.Neglected Exterior: The building's paint is peeling badly. The grass and plants are so overgrown that they completely hang over the sidewalks.Subpar Interior: The mattress was incredibly soft, unsupportive, and uncomfortable sagging in the middle. Worse, the bathroom shower curtain was covered in mildew and clearly had not been properly cleaned.Save your money and look elsewhere. This property requires serious maintenance and deep cleaning before it can justify its premium price tag. Outdoor appearance, improved mattress that does not sag in the middle, improved cleanliness in the bathroom, and overall better price point for what is offered. The online advertisement offers amenities that are not actually available such as breakfast. No food or office to interact with management available on the property
