“Great central location right on the edge of the old town”

The location was excellent, right on Avenue Paul Riquet and on the edge of the old town, giving the best of both sides of the city. The staff were wonderful and the breakfast offered great value. The steps into the toilet and shower rooms caused a lot of tripping, and a night light in both would have helped because the lights were quite bright in the middle of the night. We booked a deluxe double room but it was set up as a twin; it wasn’t a huge issue in the end since we simply pushed the beds together.

“Ok pour une nuit de passage mais très cher”

Breakfast was good – simple and efficient, the bedding was fine, and the staff were friendly. The room was clean, but the bathroom was disappointing: no ventilation system, a very dirty shower curtain, a shower head with mold, and blackened shower joints. The room felt old and didn’t match the photos. The noise from people walking above was loud, and it felt like the ceiling might collapse (crackling). The street-facing side was extremely noisy in the morning at 8:30 am, and overall the value for money was poor.

“Easy to find good central location in a friendly property.”

I love how the hotel sits right in the middle of restaurants and shops, and the room was a decent size with air conditioning in the bedroom. The reception and lounge were spacious, and the courtyard offered nice outdoor seating. The staff were genuinely helpful, especially Louie with whom I had great conversations. Walking to the station is easy through a lovely park, and the fountains just around the corner are a must-see – the colors change with music at night, absolutely spectacular. The only downside is that if you open the windows it can get a bit noisy because it’s on a main boulevard and the dustman and street cleaning start early.

The reception staff were family‑like, very kind and attentive – thanks for a wonderful stay, see you again ❤️. Nothing was wrong; everything was more than correct.
