Check‑in was easy, breakfast was excellent, and the area was great; the bed was terribly uncomfortable, the room and the hotel overall need a good update and redecorating, and the room could use a deep clean because it was "grubby" and not up to standard, with water stains on a wall corner that need attention; I stayed in a single room (3) on a flight of stairs, didn’t sleep well at all, and if I hadn’t had a motorcycle accident on the second day I wouldn’t have stayed a second night.

The spot is great – my son loves steam trains, and the B&B is just a short walk from Dolgoch station on the Talyllyn line, plus the breakfast is always cooked to perfection each morning.
