Breakfast wasn’t included—just tea and coffee—yet the neighbourhood was quiet and near the CBD; the entry instructions were clear and the key‑card worked smoothly. Coat hangers, an iron, and an ironing board were available, and the freestanding heated towel rail was great. However, there was no smoke alarm, the small fridge was unstable and water had collected at the bottom, the bathroom was a converted wardrobe with flimsy doors and no separate sink, the tiny tea and coffee station was wobbly, the rocking chair was uncomfortable, but the other chairs and the drop‑leaf table were fine.

Very comfortable, nicely renovated room. Great location close to Pukekura Park and about a 20mins walk into the city. A a great coffee machine that made excellent coffee, a very cosy bed, and a lovely bright modern bathroom. Very clean. Great little fridge and two chocolates for me. Just need a few more dishes to use

I gave it a perfect 10/10. I was traveling solo, visiting family, and even hit a round of golf at Fitzroy. The location is excellent, and parking is even off‑street. It’s one of the best places I’ve stayed at and I’ll definitely return.

It felt a bit old‑fashioned but still cozy.
