The venue is beautiful and I really enjoyed the breakfast. The room I thought I had booked turned out to be a different one, and the walls are a bit thin, so I could hear the TV in the adjacent room.

The bathrooms are cramped, there's no DSTV in the rooms, and breakfast ran out before we even reached the restaurant; they said they wouldn't refill it, but a waitress kindly put a fruit plate on our table.

The staff were super awesome, very friendly and helpful, and breakfast was delicious with plenty of variety and hot options; the full body massage is highly recommended. The extra bed shoved between the wardrobe and desk made the room feel squashed, even though it can sleep five—since I was traveling solo for a week, I wondered why that bed was there at all. I had to sit on it to work at night because the chair was unusable, which was very uncomfortable and caused back and neck pain, and it also made it hard to reach the fridge, which was annoying.

Overall, the place is perfect: the location, the views, the rooms, the breakfast—all awesome, and I honestly loved it. The only things I didn’t like were minor improvement points. The shower is set up so that midshower you sometimes get a stream of cold water, which was surprising on a cold weekend in Bloem, but the hot water returns quickly. We were in Room 21; it could use curtains too—currently the blinds are bent and you can see through them from outside when the lights are on.
