The bathroom desperately needs updating, a half toilet roll in a shared bathroom was unacceptable, the bedroom door had to be lifted to close, the communal hallway hadn’t been cleaned in ages, the TV didn’t work because the aerial was stuffed behind the cupboard.

Avoid it. I’m very disappointed, had to book another place because I didn’t get a key to my room, and communication with the owner was bad.

The bathroom was OK and the kitchen looked good, though we didn’t need to use it. The room was unacceptably filthy, full of empty rum bottles, cans, cake wrappers and pizza boxes, plus a mouldy apple pie on one of the beds! There were full bin bags and a dirty towel in the corner, the beds were not made, and there were no clean towels in the room.

A perfect accommodation, close to the center where you can find all kinds of experiences. The facilities were “perfect”. The bar downstairs was a fantasy. We love you, Tony. The only problem was a window that wouldn’t close and had no handle, and the bar downstairs closes early.

It was advertised as a ‘bed and breakfast’, but it isn’t. The rooms are above a run‑down pub, accessed via a dysfunctional gate in the smoking area. There was no onsite staff, I had to make several calls to get a response, then I received a text with a wrong key code. Shared facilities were not clearly stated when booking; residents kept their doors wide open so you could see their mess and hear them. The bathroom was disgusting, no toilet paper, pubic hairs covered the shower/bath, spit marks all over the sink floor, mud from the windowsill covered the bedsheets which smelled of wet dog and cigarettes. We left for a concert and when we returned the room stank of cigarettes, raising security concerns. Walking through the pub to reach our rooms felt unwelcoming and overall unsafe.
