The view facing Cotopaxi was beautiful with large bay windows, and the chef was very friendly and did everything himself. It was too isolated in a meadow of agricultural fields surrounded by barbed wire; without a car you’re entirely at the hotel’s mercy with surprises and many unannounced extras: meals cost 30 USD per day, travel to the lodge 50 USD round‑trip, mandatory organized tours because walking is impossible. The dormitory was okay but there was no kitchen available; it’s not a hostel. A key detail: the chef slept under the staircase cage, a small storage with no windows. A disgrace for the price we ultimately paid.
“Increíbles vistas del Cotopaxi”
Incredible view of Cotopaxi, unbeatable service and attention.

The view is amazing, but the road is a bit rough.
The place was clean and comfortable, a bit hard to reach but the lodge staff were ready to help, and in return you get amazing views! The shower was actually good and the breakfast served was perfect. Special thanks to concierge Juan, who was very nice and caring and even arranged for the driver to help me catch a bus to Latacunga terminal.
The directional signage needs improvement.
