The location was great. The only downside was the stairs leading to the sleeping area.

Château Gütsch, a 19th-century castle hotel, offers breathtaking views of Lucerne, Lake Lucerne, and the Rigi Mountain. Renovated by Martyn Lawrence Bullard, the interior features luxurious amenities, including flat-screen TVs, free minibars, and bathrooms with baths or showers. Panoramic views accompany Mediterranean cuisine on the restaurant's summer terrace, while electric and Tesla charging stations are available on site.

The location was good. The only issue was that the bed was reachable only via a staircase.

The room was lovely, with a perfect view of the city and the lake below. The staff were very friendly, and the funicular was a fun and efficient way to get into the city on foot. They even provided a bed and water bowl for our dog, which was a nice bonus. However, there were many steps; a ramp would help those with reduced mobility or traveling with kids or dogs in strollers. Breakfast was quite pricey for what was offered.

The staff were extremely friendly, and they pay close attention to preserving the vintage furnishings in both the rooms and the bathrooms—top quality. There was nothing to complain about.

The service was very good, and the room was beautiful—we got the violet one with a balcony. The castle itself is stunning, and the interior décor is well maintained. The only complaint was that the check‑in process was slow.
