“Room was quiet despite being next to rail line and pulp mill”
The hotel was minimal but acceptable; the surroundings and exterior were not great.
“The sheets and pillows were clean and comfortable.”
The spot is decent, but the lights in the bathroom flickered constantly, the hairdryer stopped mid‑dry, the room hadn’t been vacuumed thoroughly, the beds felt hard, one pillowcase had red stains, and our key cards kept deactivating. Hallways were dim and the stairwell felt like a sauna.
“Wouldn’t stay again”
The room was clean, but the air conditioner in the room didn’t function properly, the painted bathtub was peeling and clogged the drain, and the breakfast area’s AC was also faulty—29 °C made it feel like a sauna. This is a big downgrade from the Kapuskasing location and the whole place needs a new AC system.
“👍”
Everything was great, so I gave it a perfect score.
The rooms were clean and well maintained, yet breakfast fell short of expectations; the water was only warm even after we asked for hot water.
