It’s close to the meeting point for the Charyn Canyon tour. The bed is narrow and there’s only one shower‑toilet, but it’s kept clean.

The location is excellent and the staff are friendly. Cleaning is meticulous. The bed is quite narrow, but that’s acceptable given the price and location.

The hostel is in a good spot and the administrators are polite during the day. The drinks sold there were stored in a wardrobe in the women’s room; a staff member was putting them in that wardrobe at night, dropping them repeatedly and taking 15–20 minutes to finish. She could have done that during the day instead of while we were sleeping. Only one bathroom and toilet are shared by the whole hostel.

The place was clean and the location was handy for an early tour pickup. The reception girls were friendly and smiling, but that was about it. The rooms were cramped—only four beds in the women’s dorm, feeling like a train compartment, with tiny lockers for each person. There was one bathroom and one shower for four women and around ten men. I didn’t stay in the hostel much because I walked a lot, so I never got in line for the shower, but the toilet always had someone waiting or knocking. It’s right next to the reception, which isn’t ideal for privacy. The price is generally reasonable, and if you need to leave early for an excursion it’s fine, but it’s definitely not suitable for more than one night.
