The hotel was very central, below the uncle’s hotel, with great spots for karaoke on Thursdays and the Crust restaurant for sunset live music. Lots of street food and small supermarkets were nearby. The facilities were fine, with clean sheets and blankets. Because it was central, the street, cars, and parties were audible, the soundproofing was poor, and the bathrooms were a bit scary; outside the rooms people could see you, which made me a bit uneasy about potential theft.
“In the main area”
The room was clean, had air conditioning, and was right in the middle of the beach and town center. The shared toilet and bathroom were decent, and the owners were great. Because it was in the center, there was a lot of outside noise from the surrounding area. The beds weren’t very comfortable, especially the top bunk, and the glass door made it feel like I was sleeping outside; the ocean view was only partially visible.
“Perfect Location but cold and loud”
The hostel was very clean with friendly family staff, and the location was perfect. It was very cold in the room; most guests love A/C, so I slept with my jacket on and there was no blanket. Additionally, there was a club under the hostel, making it very difficult to stay.
The bed was comfortable, the room had air conditioning, and the staff were helpful, making the stay overall comfortable and relaxing. However, this isn’t really a hostel—just a place with four or five rooms each having bunk beds—so there’s no chance to meet other travelers or experience a true hostel vibe in common areas, and there’s no hostel café (though many cafés are nearby). Still, it’s good at what it offers.
“Relaxing , peaceful - ideal for heavy sleepers - right in the heart of the Ahangama town with parties, cafes, restaurant”
The view of my favorite surf spot in the south was right outside the dorm window, so choosing the 4‑bed A/C dorm gave the best view. Nothing else to note.
