A very good location for exploring the ruins. The owner was very nice, helped us with the bike rental, and we could bike right to the accommodation. He also arranged a safari. The breakfast was delicious and it was very comfortable to sit outside.

“Un lieu au calme pour passer la nuit avant d’aller visiter Polonnaruva”

The tranquility of the place, the hospitality of our hosts, and the incredible dinner they prepared for us! Our host arranged a tuk‑tuk to take us to a bike rental, which was really kind of him. He brought the same driver back the next day to take us to the bus station several kilometers away, which we were happy to pay for given the heat that day 😊

The hosts are very friendly. The guesthouse is truly very quiet. The location is perfect if you want to visit the ruins, as it’s near the entrance. I rented a bike for a small extra fee and really enjoyed the time on site. For the price it exceeded my expectations. I didn’t ask for Wi‑Fi, so I can’t comment on that.

The place is super easy for relaxing and also for a nice stroll. There's a lot of hospitality and the food is delicious.

“Not as clean as we'd like - too many mosquitos.”

The breakfast was acceptable, and the gentleman host was friendly and offered us bikes to use—though we declined because they were too tall. We appreciated having our own door and a sitting area, and the garden looked pretty. However, the lighting in the main room was very dim, and the garden was filled with pools and pots of still water, which attracted a huge number of mosquitoes; we ran out of spray and had to buy more. Communication on arrival was poor—we had no idea if Wi‑Fi was available because no one informed us. This was the only hotel in Sri Lanka where we saw a cockroach inside the room. The location was too far to walk from the city center, and there were many barking dogs in the neighborhood that would occasionally chase us while walking.
