“According to the picture we expected more (taken years ago), the place would need proper maintenance”
The receptionist was kind and helpful. The room was roomy and cozy, and the balcony offered a beautiful view. Breakfast, which required extra payment, was decent—neither great nor terrible. A 5.5‑magnitude earthquake rattled the area at night, though we barely noticed it. Overall, the building feels under‑maintained; since its construction, little has been invested in upkeep. I had an allergic reaction to the pillow (goose feather?) at night. Compared to other places we stayed in Taiwan, it didn’t offer good value for money.
