We were within walking distance of the Colosseum and the room was cleaned daily. The air conditioning never worked while we slept, and we couldn’t open the windows because the street noise at night was unbearable—we sweated in the stuffy room every night trying to sleep. The property management company responded to our complaints each day via WhatsApp and sent technicians to inspect the air conditioning system. We even switched rooms (from 204 to 202) midway through our stay but the same problem persisted. On our last day the management explained that the air‑conditioning unit depends on the outdoor temperature, which didn’t matter to us—we just wanted a comfortable night’s sleep. For the inconvenience, the management waived the tourist fees. The apartment is located in a building on a roundabout half a block from a hospital, and the area is extremely noisy with cars, honking, police and ambulance sirens, and loud music.
