“Zweckmäßig eingerichtetes Hotel, mit noch gutem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis”
The family room was spacious, clean, and matched the description; parking, Wi‑Fi, and check‑in/out worked properly. Breakfast was fine but not outstanding, and we only stayed one night, so we didn’t try the restaurant or the hot pot. At the breakfast buffet (08:20 am) some items were missing—milk for coffee, butter, and coffee cups—and the staff seemed a bit chaotic. After asking, butter and milk were supplied. When several guests asked, the coffee pot was empty and it took about 15 minutes to refill it.
“Full of pot holes”
The spa was good, but the road to the hotel was littered with unimaginable potholes.
“Reykjavik, la pace vicino alla città”
Kriunes turned out to be an unexpectedly delightful find, even though we only spent a single night there before heading home, and I’d recommend it to anyone needing a Reykjavik base away from the city centre. The location is practically perfect – a few minutes gets you into town, about half an hour to Keflavik Airport, and it’s handy for day trips around the Golden Circle. I’d urge anyone to give it a try. The owner, a very kind and helpful young man, made us feel welcome right away. The hotel itself surprised me, especially the lakeside setting; the floor‑to‑ceiling windows in our room offered a unique view of the moon reflected on the water – simply stunning. It was the perfect ending to our Iceland trip. The room was truly huge, with a gorgeous, spacious bathroom that even had a hair straightener and a hair‑dryer with a diffuser. A freestanding tub in the room let us relax while taking in the surrounding nature. The silence was remarkable, the beds were extremely comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent. I wish we could have stayed longer than just one day.
A lovely and quiet spot for our final night in Iceland after a week on the Ring Road, and the location made the airport trip the next day easy. The room was comfortable, modern, and roomy, and the lakeside view was stunning. The breakfast buffet was fabulous, and the receptionist pointed us to an excellent dinner restaurant. The only downside was that the hot tub was in an older part of the hotel and hard to locate.
“Good choice to stay.”
We like this hotel even we stay only 1 night before going to airport. Room is big with comfortable bed, kitchen, nice jacuzzi. Easy to drive to center and to airport. Parking without any problems. None
