The location was great, and the restaurant next door was perfect. I found the rooms noisy; people above me could hear a lot of walking and the toilet being flushed, etc. The bathroom was small and very basic, but that was expected.

The beds were good. The room was very dated and smelled musty, but it had a window that could be opened, and the beds themselves were fine.

The hotel sits on the main street in the center of Groningen, next to the central square and the church. I studied there before and now I’m back to see it again; everything is still the same, which feels very nostalgic. The hotel entrance is right by the bus stop, and it’s a 10‑15 minute walk to the train station. Nearby is a milk‑tea shop and a supermarket.

I liked the breakfast and the location, but the pre‑fitted bathroom was too small for my husband.

The location was good. We had to change rooms because the one assigned to us had a bad smell… the bathroom was chemical, made of plastic, like a boat… unpleasant.
