“A very peaceful base for visiting a number of chateaux.”

The place was calm and the night sky was dark, and it was very pet‑friendly. Its spot was handy for visiting Chateau and Fontevraud Abbey, and the hosts were warm. The kitchen was not great if you wanted to cook, towels felt rough and pillows were a little lumpy, and the room felt a bit tight.

“A great base from which to explore the Loire by bike or car.”

The accommodation was lovely for exploring the Loire, and the hosts went above and beyond with any help needed. L’il Bouchard has a few restaurants, and Pied Elephant offered great value and a welcoming vibe. Nothing to complain about.

Virginie et Davy sont des hôtes très attentionnés La localisation est idéale pour visiter plusieurs villes/châteaux alentours (Chinon, Azay, Le Rivau, Richelieu) et découvrir les vignobles Le logement était parfaitement conforme à nos attentes : charmant, confortable et bien équipé Le petit déjeuner est excellent avec des viennoiserie fraiches et des confitures artisanales (servi dans la jolie cour grâce à une météo clémente) En bonus : la découverte des sympathiques spitz japonais ! A réserver sans hésiter

“Thoughtful, kind hosts who provided a relaxing stay in the countryside.”

The hosts were delightful and welcomed us and our dogs with open arms. Breakfasts were wonderful, featuring homemade specialty jams. The shower area was spacious and safe for my limited mobility, and the fridge, kettle and microwave were handy. The room had a cozy atmosphere, a very comfortable bed, and lovely linens. The courtyard garden offered comfortable seating, and the rural setting was charming. We’re older and would have liked brighter lighting where the floor level changes.
