“In die Jahre gekommen, für eine Nacht OK. Meine Geschäftspartner würde ich dort nicht Unterbringen.”

The lady at the front desk was nice once she was there. The check‑in and reception were only open from 15:30 to 19:00, and the hotel was shut otherwise, so no one could be reached by phone before 15:30. Check‑out was supposed to be from 7:00 to 11:00, yet the reception was empty at 7:30. The entrance door didn’t look very impressive, and the building feels old. The TV in the room was tiny, the beds were quite low, the toilet inside was black, the shower had mold, the hair dryer was broken and burnt, the shower gel came in a small tin, and the heating was still off when the outside temperature was 12 °C – it was still cold in the morning.

“Für Radwanderer das ideale Hotel mit bester Lage”

There was no breakfast buffet, but the portions were generous; the service was friendly, and the bike garage could be locked. Because of a breakdown we were able to leave our luggage at the hotel long after check‑out, though the vending machine didn’t offer wine or beer.

Everything was clean and in order, the staff were friendly, and the sound‑proof windows worked well. The hotel sits right on a busy street with heavy traffic at night, and the room was too warm to sleep with the windows closed.

Breakfast was provided. The waterbed hotel was a mystery, and at 6 am the faucet started to crow.

Exactly what I needed – close to the rehab clinic, and the place was clean and tidy. The bed creaked, the bedside lamp flickered all night, and the second lamp was completely broken.
