The location was quiet, but the room faced the entrance corridor, so you could see people coming and going. The sleeping area and bed were fine, yet there was only one power point for charging. The bathroom was barely acceptable; the glass shower screen was dirty, the rubber and silicone seals were brown and a bit tatty. The single bedside lamp was broken inside the shade but still worked, so we took the risk. There was nowhere to hang anything except for four hangers in the wardrobe. These kinds of issues are common in Thai hotels at this price point.

The staff were friendly, smiling, and very accommodating. The reception was pleasant, the room attendant was very cheerful, and the setting featured a stunning wooden sculpture that felt like concentrated zen. The hotel itself was gorgeous and the staff matched that quality. It was a bit out of the city center.
