“Goeie locatie maar te duur qua verhouding”
The location is close to the hutongs, but the room is smaller than at other sites and the taxi cannot pick up right outside the door, which is very inconvenient.

The staff were extremely friendly and went out of their way to make me feel welcome at the hotel. The location is within walking distance of many attractions, and I appreciated the bidet in our bathroom, which helped us use less toilet paper. I also liked that all bathroom linens were individually sealed in plastic, which reassured me they hadn’t been contaminated. On the downside, the shower door’s magnet strip made it slam shut hard even when I tried to close it gently, and the noise was audible when the suites next to us were showering, which was somewhat annoying. The toilet was a bit coarse, so the bidet was especially useful. Because the hotel sits in a security‑sensitive area near the Great Hall of the People, Tiananmen Square, and the Forbidden City, there’s a road block at the street entrance; ride‑hailing vehicles won’t pick up passengers there, so you’ll need to walk about 150 metres to be picked up.

Its location a stone’s throw from Qianmen Street was perfect for shopping and sightseeing, though taxis can’t stop right at the entrance because of pedestrian‑zone rules, so a 100‑metre walk to the pick‑up spot is required; staying on Level 1 close to the breakfast venue may bring occasional footstep noises from the hallway, but otherwise the experience was flawless.

Being just a stone’s throw from Qianmen Street made it incredibly easy to shop and wander the neighborhood, although the taxi‑only zone means you have to walk about 100 m to the designated pick‑up point; if you’re on Level 1 near the breakfast area you might occasionally hear footsteps outside your door, yet everything else felt flawless.

The location is excellent, right along Dashilan shopping street with plenty of dining options. The staff were courteous and helpful, and the room felt cozy. The only thing missing was a clear indication of whether the room has a window, which would prevent confusion.
