I met a very friendly and welcoming owner who had every detail ready, from the wifi password to breakfast times, and my colleagues even joined me for breakfast the next day after seeing what I had.

The hosts were really helpful, welcoming, and friendly; the breakfast was nice, the bed comfortable, and the linen good. The bedroom could use a little TLC—time for decorating, I’d say. There’s a little road noise and it’s near a flight path, but it wasn’t bad enough to make me stay elsewhere.

Simon was lovely and it was clear he genuinely cares about his guests; he prepares a wonderful breakfast, and our stay at the Cedars was perfect for what we needed. The location is a 5minute walk from Ashby centre, which has become a charming little town. The rooms are spacious and clean, though a bit tired and dated, yet they provide everything required for a short and comfortable stay. The room decoration and furniture could use a little TLC.

The owner gave a warm welcome, parking was good, and the room was well appointed. A short walk takes you into AdlZ for dinner, and my early start—before breakfast officially began—was accommodated with cereals in the breakfast room. All good.
