The bed was comfy, and the room stayed spotless and tidy.
“Great stay in Franklin Lodge and would definitely stay again when we are visiting next.”
The property sits in a fantastic spot in Franklin, housed in a beautiful heritage‑listed building. Coco answered all my questions promptly. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the included breakfast was tasty.
The Lavender Room was a really comfy spot to stay, that's for sure.
“Authentic and cosy stay”
The place was great! Coco was super friendly and helpful, the room was spacious and had everything I needed.
“The Franklin Lodge is the worst hotel/ lodge I have ever stayed in with the rudest manager”
the location was convenient for what I needed. The bed was uneven the room was not safe for me as an older man of 72. I banged my head multiple times on the slanted ceiling and the room was up 2 flights of stairs that I had to lug all my heavy luggage up and I have a back condition. The toilet cistern didn't flush properly,I had to try to fix it myself as the hostess CoCo never bothered to get a plumber though I complained about the toilet cistern being faulty and not flushing properly. At one point I turned the toilet off altogether with the handle due to the cistern not filling up properly with water and making a horrendous noise. Also the shower basin got blocked with water,I had to try and clear it of all the hair myself (not my hair ) and the shower head leaked shooting water over me when I turned the shower on. The hostess of the Franklin Lodge,CoCo, was very rude. For example CoCo phoned me at about 12 am one night because the toilet cistern was making a noise which wasn't my fault it was her responsibility.I managed to fix the cistern myself as a patch up job but it was never 100 %. CoCo never bothered to get a plumber in during my stay to repair it.Also, it felt like CoCo was like a prison guard watching what time I came in and went out. After I came in she would come out and check if the door was locked properly as if I don't know how to lock a door. I never felt at ease around CoCo or in the Franklin Lodge because of CoCos aggressive and bossy attitude toward me. CoCo even questioned where I was going one night as I was leaving as if there was a curfew at the property which there wasn't !.On my very first day in the room CoCo did an inspection and noticed a small mark on the white duvet cover she pulled an angry face and questioned me roughly over the mark. She then pulled off the duvet cover and stormed out with it and came back 30 mins later with another duvet and was very annoyed. It was not a permanent stain merely a washable mark
