“Excellent location but I would definitely not stay there again”

The room includes a bathroom and shower, plus curtains on every bed, which is a plus. The location is great—day tours depart right outside the hostel, and Galway tour company operates from Kinlay hostel. The main bus station is 5 min away and the train station is only 3 min away. Unfortunately, I left my power bank in the breakfast room and someone took it; the manager tried hard to locate the thief, which was kind of him. To discourage theft, a sign about cameras and not leaving unattended items would help. On the bright side, the common area is very good and breakfast is well thought out. The worst part for me was the placement of outlets in the bedroom; they face downward, making it almost impossible to charge comfortably, especially with a converter. There were USB ports in the bed area, but the light was too strong and they were hard to spot. If I could have charged my power bank in the room, I wouldn’t have lost it. Overall, this will be my last hostel experience and it was definitely the most expensive one.

“It was a good experience”

Great location, great breakfast and friendly helpful staff. There can be some hooks near the sink to hang towels. The water leaks out of the shower when bathing
