I loved the vintage vibe of the property and the spacious deck overlooking the lake! The patio chairs could be a bit more comfortable, as we sat out there for a long time in the evening.

The location was really nice, but everywhere there were hair and spider webs, and the laundry service seemed to only change the sheets. It was the dirtiest accommodation I’ve had during my four‑week trip across Canada.

A nice motel at the city entrance with a view of the lake and its own mini‑golf course.

The view from the room was awesome and it was close to restaurants, but the TV channels were limited to my preferences; I did find a couple that were decent. It would have been nice to have a toaster.

When my van was hit by a tow truck, I had to extend my stay in one of the rooms I had originally booked. The staff was sympathetic, helpful with the arrangements, and made sure my comfort was taken care of. Extra housekeeping visits to ensure I had what I needed were really appreciated. Even though I had booked two extra nights, I only needed to stay one. Thanks to the staff for their courtesy in allowing my vehicle to be towed into the lot and parked by my room until a second tow truck could remove it. The only thing I didn’t like was that I didn’t get a room with a view of the water. I know it’s luck of the draw for the view, and this time just wasn’t my turn.
