“Wonderful host and beautiful property with easy access to Yala for safari.”
A totally peaceful spot with only birds chirping. Spacious rooms with verandas and outdoor tables to relax, a huge pool overlooking the lake, and beautiful surroundings near Tissimaharama and its lake. Yala was close for a safari organized by the owner, and the driver was kind and knowledgeable. The manager took us to town and picked us up both nights in his tuk‑tuk so we could enjoy sunset drinks on the lake and great dinners. The breakfast was fresh and plentiful. Nothing to add, just note the property is a bit remote and quiet – which we loved.
I drove 1200 km in a rented tuk‑tuk from the east coast, looking for a comfy stop before heading west, and this place nailed it—I’d have stayed longer if I could. The room was spacious, spotless, with plenty of hot water, and the porch was a calm escape. The host was a fantastic conversationalist, deeply passionate about the property and the surrounding nature, and there were hidden gems of fruit, nuts, and veggies everywhere. The lake views were breathtaking, especially at dawn and dusk, and the dinner was tasty. I met other guests who shared the same appreciation for the experience, and I’d return without hesitation.
The location by the lake is gorgeous. Nothing to add.
The owner was very, very kind, and the food was very good.
The hotel was good, the pool large and pretty with lake views, the owner super friendly, breakfast amazing, the only downside is that it’s a bit isolated from the town but the boss would give us a free tuk‑tuk whenever we wanted.
