There’s a manga corner, a drink bar, night‑time curry, breakfast and a large public bath, though the whole property feels old.

The room and the bed were spacious, and everything we needed was available as self‑service near the elevator or in the lobby, with plenty of choices; I arrived five minutes before breakfast started and they still let me in. The hotel is a bit far from the station and a little hard to locate, but bicycles can be rented.

Even though breakfast was free, it offered a wide variety and tasted good, and the location was close enough to the scuba centre to be convenient. Apart from a slightly slow Wi‑Fi, the overall service—welcome drink, bath, manga room, lobby candy, etc.—and the value for money were flawless, making it an excellent hotel.

The staff struck just the right balance—neither stiff nor overly friendly—keeping a comfortable distance, the breakfast buffet had many side dishes (they replenished them as soon as they ran low), the amenities were plentiful, the Showa‑era retro vibe was soothing for those born in that era, and I was happy with the room size and the big bed. It would have been nicer to have an air purifier.

I was really looking forward to staying at this hotel for my daughter's exam, but unfortunately, it didn't quite live up to my expectations. The view was lovely, but that's where the positives ended. The air conditioning was broken, which was a major issue given the cold weather, and the room wasn't as clean as it appeared in the photos. To make matters worse, the staff didn't speak much Japanese, and I could hear everything going on in the adjacent room.
