The beach, amenities, and proximity to Playa del Carmen and inside Playacar were great, but the restaurant menus and hotel decor left something to be desired.

The landscaping was a highlight, but the complex itself felt outdated and the furnishings were old. Walking through the hallways made me feel like I was in a prison scene from a movie. The food selection was limited, with no traditional Mexican dishes offered at either breakfast or dinner, leaving options very narrow.

The rooms were spacious and the outdoor area was spectacular! The landscaping was beautiful and the restaurants were excellent.

The proximity to the beach was a plus, yet the staff treated Americans and Mexicans differently, favoring people who aren’t from Mexico.

The staff were very attentive, ready to help as soon as you sit down. The à la carte restaurants were slow, and because there’s no reservation system, you can only dine if you arrive very early; for Latin Americans, 18:30 isn’t considered dinner time.
