Every aspect of this traditional Japanese ryokan felt high‑class, surrounded by an exceptional setting, and the breakfast quality was very high. The dinner option was pricey, so we skipped it, though the breakfast experience suggested the dinner would also have been very good.

The calm here feels heavenly; the décor blends modern with traditional, and the spacious room’s bathroom features a hot pool overlooking Amanohashidate’s waters. Breakfast offered delicate flavours in a beautiful presentation, and I’d advise booking dinner ahead, whether at the hotel or nearby, since many lunch spots close early. The onsen includes both outdoor and indoor pools, fully equipped with towels and other amenities. There was absolutely nothing to complain about.
