“Gutes Hotel an zentraler Lage”
I stayed a few nights in this centrally located hotel in the old town, and it turned out to be a solid choice. The rooms were spotless, the staff were extremely courteous, and the on‑site restaurant offered tasty local cuisine. Even more impressive was the fact that there were a few parking spots in the courtyard behind the building, which is not something you expect in a city centre. Nothing to complain about.
“Wonderful warm & friendly welcome in a truly atmospheric traditional German environment. Recommended”
Breakfast was excellent, local‑style and plentiful. The room was clean, well‑equipped, and quirky as expected in an old building in the village centre. The welcome was warm and friendly, and the owner made us feel at home even though our German is very basic. The younger serving staff spoke excellent English and helped us understand the evening restaurant menu, which offered traditional German dishes paired with the owner’s own vineyard wines. The serving areas include a traditional bar, a vaulted cellar below, and a courtyard with covered outdoor spaces. Just keep in mind that in rural Germany, shops and cafés often have limited opening hours, especially from mid‑day Saturday until Monday or Tuesday morning, so plan lunches accordingly.
“Eine gute Unterkunft”
Everything was fine for a single night, and the breakfast was very good. When staying longer, I was told a bedside lamp would be missing.
The outdoor area was very cozy and added a nice touch to the overall experience.
