I liked the location, the interior was very interesting, and the staff were all welcoming and helpful. The room was very clean, but the pillows were too thick and uncomfortable.

The location is great, just a short walk from York station, and the continental breakfast is included in the price. Nearby there are cafés, pubs, and restaurants, and the garden is lovely for sitting. The only downside was that the windows wouldn’t open, making the room feel very stuffy.

The reception and staff were incredibly helpful, the breakfast was excellent, the location is perfect, and the history of the place is fascinating—definitely take the Friday tour.

The old convent building is beautiful and interesting, the room is well sized, and the rear garden is pleasant for sitting outside. Breakfast was good, and there were tea, coffee, and biscuits in the room. The only issue was that the hot and cold water was a bit dodgy during my single night stay.
