They were incredibly kind! Maru was very attentive before we arrived. When we couldn’t make it to the island, Maru informed us about the typhoon conditions and we received a free cancellation. We’ll definitely book another holiday there.
“こだわりの感じられる素敵な宿!”
The new facility has a relaxed design that lets you unwind. Breakfast was lovely, and the owner was very kind. I’m glad I came. The only downside is there’s no TV, which might trouble those who want one, but on the terrace you can relax and listen to the waves instead.
“Fantastic facilities and host.”
The accommodation is superb—clean, modern, simple yet sophisticated. Being on the beach is a bonus. The daily breakfast was amazing and unexpected; each morning offered something different, always made with local ingredients, very healthy, and filling. Thanks a lot, Maru san! When booking, I didn’t realize how few other facilities were nearby. The area is very quiet, which was great, but I’d suggest renting a car to explore more of the island. Within an 8‑10 minute walk there’s a local convenience store on the main road and a few eateries (restaurant, burgers, bakery), but that’s about it. On the beach, both here at Yoan and at Villa Beach around the corner, the amount of plastic rubbish—bottles, fishing floats, nylon rope, and other debris—is phenomenal. This isn’t a reflection on the accommodation provider, but a wake‑up call for all of us to reduce plastic use and disposal. The waste comes from all over Asia and washes up here.
“最高の思い出”
The room’s cleanliness and location were great, and the staff were extremely friendly, giving a warm human touch. Breakfast was tasty, and listening to the waves while eating made it very satisfying. The parking was right next to the building, making moving luggage a breeze. I’ll want to stay at Yoan again when I visit Amami Oshima next time.
A wide white beach and a snorkeling spot are right in front of you. A hot shower in the yard lets you play in the sea with kids, making it the best spot for family fun. The host delivers delicious breakfast every morning.
