A beautiful spa and natural surroundings, and the hotel is reachable by boat from Stockholm. The breakfast was very good. At 7:00 am it was very loud because the hotel was being renovated. Like everywhere in Sweden, the mattresses are very soft – you sleep like in a hammock.

The location, the size of the room, the view over the water, the offer of an upgrade (for a fee, of course) upon arrival, the breakfast, and one of the bar servers who was attentive, smiling, friendly and competent (I don’t remember his name… sorry). /Restaurant: extremely slow service – more than 1 h 30 each time for a dish and a dessert (even though I was the only person at my table) and I was even “forgotten” for dessert the second time! No receptionist to place you, not smiling, looking for a table for 5 min while the restaurant was almost empty… Very limited menu (4 or 5 main dishes) and only one vegetarian option!!! Very limited in 2026 when you know there is no other restaurant nearby! /Hotel: “superior” room in dire need of refreshing: carpet, chairs, curtains, ceiling and furniture stained. The shower in the bathroom leaks once in two and floods the bathroom. No soundproofing – door slams, other guests’ TV next door… Receptionists (for the most part) only say hello, goodbye. No real hotel sense. Work (not mentioned at booking) everywhere in the hotel, even the spa, leaves an unpleasant impression. /Spa: 20 h to 23 h schedule imposed by the reception and impossible to change except after hard negotiations renewed daily and only for a fee. I can understand if you stay only one night but when you book for 6 nights, a bit of commercial flexibility would be welcome: you want to enjoy the facilities in the sun during the day knowing there are no outdoor loungers except at the spa… No real pools either inside or outside where you can swim more than one stroke – they are more like small pools where couples sit with a drink just to chat.
