“Should not be a 3 star …”
The place was a joke… I arrived on Friday and the receptionist argued that I needed to pay even though I had a bank receipt proving it was prepaid. There was a very strong stale urine smell in the bathroom. The room was very run‑down, even though the hotel website claimed it had been recently refurbished. Paint was missing from the furniture, there were dirt marks on the walls, and hairs were hanging from debris on the walls – it was just disgusting. I got very little sleep because the road was so close and the traffic noise was loud, and the room was stuffy so I couldn’t open the windows. My husband had a shower and the water went from lukewarm to cold. Breakfast was limited but was the only decent part of the stay. The rashers on the fry tasted of soap. The waitress, who also handled the restaurant and reception, was poor. When I complained about the bad stay she put her head in her hands, so I knew this wasn’t the first time she had been complained about. I totally felt for her. The cleaner was walking around making herself look busy while she was far from it. Overall, for the money being charged, the place is more suited as a motel. If nothing changes, the place will be closed by the end of the year.
