How guests rate the property, aspect by aspect.
The resort at Valle Escondido is gorgeous, surrounded by lush greenery, but it feels a bit old‑fashioned, probably built around 2000, which shows in some of the facilities. The Wi‑Fi was very weak during our stay, and while breakfast was included, the cappuccino cost extra. Overall we liked it, but a few updates would make it even better.

The countryside facilities were nice, but I lost a camera accessory in the restaurant, which was essential for me. That day the place was very quiet, so it was hard to understand why it wasn’t found. I think if any staff member or guest had found it, it should have been handed over or reported. Unfortunately, I had a bad experience because no solution was offered and I couldn’t recover it.

The staff were very friendly, the hotel was stunning, and there was a heated indoor pool for rainy days. The hotel itself was very beautiful and well‑invested, breakfast was decent. One morning the food didn’t suit our taste, they noticed and sent an apology message asking what we liked, then prepared a special meal for us. 1. The shower water was not hot at all; when I told them they sent someone to check and claimed it was the water temperature, but nothing was fixed. *I emphasize that the tap was fully turned to hot water and they were still loose* (video attached). 1. Mold in the shower made it unpleasant to bathe. 2. Around 14:00 a nap time started and they began working with noisy tools that woke the girl and us; it was not nice. Overall the hotel itself is very nice, has an indoor pool and it’s fun to be able to swim on rainy days. The hotel is fairly remote (18 minutes walk from the shops and market). If you don’t have a car, a shuttle from the airport goes through the hotel for $62.5, while a taxi cost us $40. A taxi from the hotel to the shops should be $3 for a 5‑minute ride, but if you book through the hotel they’ll say it’s $6 (probably a fee). Also, in the room there’s a water bottle with a label; its price is $8.75. We only discovered this at check‑out, maybe it was written somewhere but we didn’t notice. Late check‑out at 16:00 instead of 12:00 costs $55.
