Bedford Lodge was exceptionally clean, the breakfast options were amazing and high quality, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating, making everything hassle‑free. The location was fantastic, just a few minutes’ walk to the very pretty Shanklin old Village. I couldn’t fault it! I’ve already booked again for next year.

The “Queen of the Lodge” was welcoming and friendly, the breakfast was fantastic, and the location is great. The only downside was the size of the room.

Everything was perfect! We felt instantly at home thanks to the warm hosts, loved the location, and the breakfast was just right. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Everything was wonderful—beautiful, well‑maintained garden, spotless rooms and dining area, and the hosts were friendly and professional, going above and beyond to make the stay great. The breakfast selection was fantastic, including options for special diets; as a lactose intolerant person, there were milk alternatives for porridge, hot drinks, and toast spread. The location is perfect for Shanklin Chine, Old Village, Shanklin Beach, etc. We didn’t drive and explored the island by bus and train (even the steam train). I had a brilliant time celebrating my mum’s 75th birthday here and used it as a base to explore other parts of the island. I would definitely recommend this place! No complaints at all.
