We celebrated a life event at Aghadoe in a Delux Suite with a mesmerizing view, and we spent most of our time there, so we didn’t bother exploring Killarney. The only concern was that, as vegans, we’d liked a few more vegan options on the menu to avoid leaving town for food.

We requested a room for a disabled guest and received a beautifully adapted suite that was pre‑notified; however, it offered no view, while the lounge bar’s view was spectacular. Breakfast disappointed us both: my poached eggs were returned twice for being cold and hard, my husband’s order was wrong, though the staff handled the returns well.

The setting overlooking the lake and mountains was absolutely beautiful, and we began our mornings with a marvelous breakfast while the kind, hardworking staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable.
