The location is great and easy to reach, the room is spacious and comfortable, and the staff are very welcoming.

The hotel sits right in the center of the small town of Nontron, yet it’s still very accessible thanks to a large free parking lot. The family room is huge, impeccably clean, and well maintained, with excellent bedding and a large shower. The outdoor pool is lovely, especially in this heat, and towels are supplied. Breakfast is generous, served in a pleasant room or outdoors. The on‑site restaurant has its own garden. The welcome was excellent. When the chef was absent, the staff offered to book a table elsewhere. On Thursday evenings in summer, a local farmers’ market sets up on the central square opposite the hotel, where you can dine on large communal tables with a variety of excellent dishes. The atmosphere stays very friendly until midnight. The room isn’t air‑conditioned, which makes it a bit tough in this heat, but the nights are pleasant and the town is quiet, so you can sleep with the windows open.

The pool is nice, breakfast is good, and the staff are helpful. The room is fairly clean, but the hotel feels abandoned or about to close; the vibe is odd even though it used to be a beautiful place, which is sad.

The location is excellent in the city center. The hotel is pretty, with spacious, very clean rooms. We were lucky to get air‑conditioning, which was much appreciated during the heatwave. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was good and the parking is huge.
