We spent our first two nights in South Africa at a glamping site and it felt like a real adventure; the host was fantastic, sharing loads of conservation knowledge and animal facts. Our tented room faced a water hole, giving us great photo ops with the many birds, a giraffe, and a buck. After long days of sightseeing in Pilanesberg—just a 20‑minute drive away—the hot shower was a relief.

I was happy to find the place close to Pilansberg, but the overall vibe felt more like dilapidated than rustic charm. The shower was difficult to use, the bed was awful, and the staff seemed absent. I arrived at the agreed time and had to waste time looking for anyone. The owner was not there, and no one told me that the main gate was broken. The noise was terrible, with loud music from other residents at 6am on a Sunday and nobody did anything about it. The electricity cables in the room looked like a fire hazard. I was very disappointed.

The owner was extremely kind and welcoming, and the place was really neat and secluded from city life—definitely a recommendation for those who enjoy bush stays.
