The setting was beautiful, and Frank, the concierge, was the best in the world—thanks! The restaurants were nice, though the buffet could use a touch of improvement: fresh yogurt would be a welcome addition.

We stayed at the InterContinental Xishuangbanna in February 2026 with grandparents and kids, and it was truly a wonderful experience. The hotel grounds look more like a tropical resort park than a typical hotel, with stunning architecture that reflects local character and gardens that are spacious, peaceful, and perfect for leisurely walks. It’s ideal for families, photography enthusiasts, and anyone who enjoys a quiet, scenic vibe. Our suite was very roomy and comfortable, clean, well-designed, and offered a lovely view of lush greenery. The bathroom was large and well-equipped, and overall comfort was excellent. The hotel is especially family-friendly, offering many activities for children and even special kids’ meals at the restaurant. Evening entertainment options made the stay even more enjoyable. The staff were warm, attentive, and always helpful, and a special thanks to the butler team for their kindness and quick responses to all our questions. The location is convenient and well-connected while still feeling secluded and peaceful. One small suggestion: some facilities could be slightly updated, and better accessibility for strollers in certain areas would make it even more perfect. Overall, we highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Xishuangbanna.

The resort could be nice if it weren’t undergoing extensive renovation work during the operation. I normally don’t leave a review, but this time I feel compelled to warn others. My visit began in December 2025. There are many construction projects in the area, so quiet is a foreign concept. It seemed that no one else was bothered by the fact that the same block was under work all day (from 7:00 – 21:00) with a flex hammer and what you can imagine. The staff initially didn’t respond, and only after persistent questioning did they stop the work in the wing around us, but the rest of the building continued noisily. Once again, a warning—don’t book here.

Location is good, outdoor swimming pool is not open but only a kids waterpark, indoor swimming pool is available and it is good. Breakfast is okay but too crowded after 9:00AM. The hotel room facilities are outdated, but the resort is well-maintained with beautiful scenery. The travel photography styling requires an additional fee, but the photos are skillfully taken and completed in just 30-40 minutes. The daily free activities, such as floating water lanterns, are too short. The room is particularly humid, and the old carpet causes a strong odor. The dehumidifier fills up with water in just one afternoon

The spot is convenient, the surroundings are lovely, the service is warm, and the room feels comfortable. The breakfast selection, however, is a bit limited.
